Applying for a Skilled Nominated Work Visa (Subclass 190)

Step 1: Verify Your Occupation

Ensure your occupation is listed on the Skilled Occupation Lists.

Step 2: Meet Eligibility Requirements

You must satisfy the following criteria:

- Be under 50 years old

- Possess basic English skills

- Meet health standards

Step 6: Apply for the Skilled Nominated Work Visa (subclass 190)

Step 7: Await a Decision

The DHA may take several months to decide on your visa application. In 2016, the processing time for the 190 visa was approximately three months.

Step 8: Receive Your Visa and Begin Working

Once approved, you will receive your visa and can commence working in Australia.
