Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an immigration program designed for individuals who have gained at least one year of work experience in Canada, allowing them to apply for permanent residency. The CEC is a component of Canada’s Express Entry immigration system.

The Canadian government values the skilled workforce already present in the country and aims to grant them permanent residency. These are individuals and families who have established their lives and future plans in Canada.

Understanding the Canadian Experience Class

Express Entry enables Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to invite eligible candidates to apply for permanent residency. These candidates have expressed their desire to settle in Canada by creating an online Express Entry profile. Eligible profiles are accepted into the Express Entry pool, where they are scored and ranked according to the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on the information provided.

In addition to the Canadian Experience Class, the pool includes candidates from the Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC) and Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC). IRCC invites candidates to apply through its Express Entry draws from this pool.
