H1B Visa

The H-1B visa is a non-immigrant, employment-based visa for temporary workers in the United States. It requires employer sponsorship, meaning an employer must offer a job and submit a petition to the U.S. immigration authorities on your behalf. Once the petition is approved, you receive a work permit, allowing you to obtain a visa stamp and work for that employer in the U.S.

The H-1B visa is designated for specialized occupations, which require the theoretical and practical application of a body of specialized knowledge along with a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

The U.S. employer must demonstrate the necessity of hiring the foreign worker/visa holder, proving that the job cannot be filled by a local citizen who is either unavailable or not qualified, either academically or professionally.
